People automatically think God just constantly will answer all prayer especially if we feel we are praying correctly. We run into this when praying things for ourselves. Should we pray for ourselves? You betcha, as believers we want our paths guided by the Lord in all we do, work, school, friendships, home life all areas. No one knows more your thoughts and direction needed than you. I pray for the Lords direction even writing these posts.
Can God Tell You No?
I was told NO this morning even. How? Well for me I hear the Lord, and viewing a facebook request on my personal page they ask to be friends I looked at that personal page. I deleted it as the Lord said “pride” then the verse popped to my mind Pr 16:18, yet she supposedly has a ministry. I looked at the ministry page it was loaded with fancy pictures of herself. I might have clicked follow on that to check up on her from time to time, but declined the personal page invite to be a friend. My purpose to even be on facebook there is a link in my menu and yes I was led to do that but it is for the Lord only and the scripture a day to get people to be fed the words of Christ only. I hopefully have it set that no person can see any followers on my ministry page. I did ask a friend to check that for me before going any further but did make a post.
God Is In The Directing Business
So what does it require? A heart for the Lord given to the Lord and a desire to hear Him. Can and does He direct a new person with the right heart yet not experienced? Yes He can, the best way with your prayers is if you notice things not happening for you in certain areas of your life. Then take those to the Lord and ask Him about it, ask for a second witness He will give them but you won’t always know. A door could be closed to you for a reason, God having your best interest in mind. So a NO answer. I did write a post on Answered Prayer. So yes there are requirements. So do pray for yourself, ask Father to lead, guide and direct your path, also ask for wisdom while you are at it.
