Answered Prayer

Prayer has an IF statement

Yes prayer has an “IF” statement, which means, it requires us to do something. Yeshua (Jesus) spoke about prayer a lot, I will not go into all of them as He is our example to follow, you learn these things staying in the gospels over and over He will show you new things. Things like times He prayed morning and night, thanking Father openly, telling us things to pray for (most don’t do). The key you find out with one scripture, that if you do this you will learn all the other.

John 15:7 (KJV) If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

How Do We Abide in Him?

The Lord actually tells us how, it requires us to be His disciple. What does that mean? Well He tells you that before the key. This means following Yeshua (Jesus) teachings and of course that doesn’t happen unless we stay in the Gospels. I use Matthew and John, why? Because those are the only two chosen by Christ Himself. Matthew’s Gospel was first one written in Hebrew prior to all other Gospels. John was His favored disciple and teaches more spiritual things. The verse to pay attention to for this is:

John 8:31 (KJV) Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

For me and as long as I have walked with the Lord, I usually expect to see answer to my prayers or I am asking the Lord what I am doing wrong with that prayer.

Example

In the book of James, Yeshua (Jesus) brother mentions praying amiss Jas 4:3 so I know it is my fault, so I ask the Lord to lead me to pray then. This happened when a brother of mine couldn’t get his house finished for when he had hopped to be in it, so I prayed for him. A week went by and nothing happening. So I ask the Lord what I was doing wrong and to lead me to pray proper for this. The Lord laid it on my heart to pray for the construction people contractors involved as they were not doing the work for him. I changed my prayers then, and the following week the contractors were there finishing up things. I have learned this with my walk over the years.

We have to rely on the Lord even as old as I am with my walk. We are told to:

Matthew 7:7 (KJV) Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Sometimes we need to seek the Lord looking for direction in prayer, especially when we are not seeing anything happening. I have also learned with my walk, when I can take something the Lord Himself spoke to Him for say an individual I will use His words for the prayer as His words are what comes true, not my words.

I hope this encourages you to stay in the Gospels and get to know your Lord and Savior. I pray you all get answered prayer, remember to thank and praise for it!!!
